Chances are, if you live, travel, vacation or dine in Gulf Shores, you’ve heard about the amazing food options the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. It’s a veritable seafood paradise – and that’s really not all that surprising, with the beach so close nearby.
Over the last few weeks, our chefs have spent some quality time in the restaurant kitchen, here in Gulf Shores, playing with new ideas on American Seafood classics – and this is some of what they came up with!
These are our Ahi Poke nachos. We take our very own Shaka sauce and lightly drizzle it over cilantro lime creams, Napa, red onion, jalapeños, and togarashi. This is a great appetizer, and the nachos make it that much more fun to share!
On of our favorite seafood additions is definitely our Rock Crab Claws – which can be served both Hot or Cold. We Serve this dish with a rémoulade sauce and lemon.
The Surf ‘n Turf is a seafood classic. There’s no doubt that plenty of restaurants in Gulf Shores have their own spin on this delicious concoction – but The Hangout likes to keep it fresh. We’re proud to call this one of our Favorite Beach Side Burgers – and here’s why.
Our Surf and Turf isn’t just any burger with seafood. We use 100% Alabama Wagyu , a direct descendant of the world-renowned “Kobe Beef,” that is locally and sustainably farmed in Gulf Shores, AL. This process provides an all-natural, stress, hormone and antibiotic-free environment for the cattle which is highlighted in its signature marbling – the source of its superior taste and tenderness.
We take this beautiful burger and stack it with our bacon-tomato jam, flash-fried Gulf soft shell blue crab, lemon caper aioli, arugula, tomato and red onion. It’s mouth watering.
The Hangout is located Directly on the Gulf Shores Beach. Honestly, you can’t miss it! If you just keep driving south on Highway 59, we’re the first thing you see!
